West Ham vs Tottenham Predictions
West Ham have won 6 of their last 8 matches (Premier League).
West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches (Premier League).
West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 2 of their last 3 matches against Tottenham (Premier League).
West Ham have seen BTTS in 2 of their last 3 matches against Tottenham (Premier League).
Tottenham have lost 4 of their last 5 matches (Premier League).
Tottenham have kept 1 clean sheet in their last 10 matches (all competitions).
Head-to-Head Tottenham have the historical edge over West Ham, winning 67 and drawing 38 times in 156 games between the sides. West Ham have won 51 times. West Ham have won just one of their last 7 games against Tottenham and lost their last 4 home games against Spurs. Last time they faced each other was in a 3-3 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in October. West Ham came from three goals down at half-time to draw the game with a late equaliser. West Ham Form
West Ham have lost just once in their last 13 games in 90 minutes in all competitions. That was at home to Liverpool who also beat Tottenham that same week. In the Premier League, the Hammers are flying high after winning six of their last eight to sit in 5th place. Tomáš Souček has proven to be a real handful with three goals in his last five league games from midfield, while the return of Michail Antonio should also bolster their attack. Losing Angelo Ogbonna to injury didn’t stop West Ham keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United last time out. Declan Rice, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks got the goals in the Hammers' win over the Blades. West Ham Injuries and Team News West Ham are a little short at the back with Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna out Midfielder Fabian Balbuena is a doubt and forward Andriy Yarmolenko looks set to miss out with a knee injury too. Michail Antonio has been in training all and should return to the side up top. Tottenham Form
Tottenham have been on a poor run of form of late, suffering four losses in their last five league games including a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend. Jose Mourinho's men have conceded eight and scored just three times, a run which has seen them slip to 9th place in the Premier League. Tottenham have won just four of their last 14 league games, but will be buoyed by midweek Europa League success with a 4-1 victory over Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger. Gareth Bale was on the score sheet, something he has only managed once in the league this season. They will need to improve defensively, however, with one clean sheet in the latest 10 games in all competitions, which is uncharacteristic of a José Mourinho side. Tottenham Injuries and Team News Defender Sergio Reguilon is a possible to return to the squad. Fellow full-back Serge Aurier and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso should still be out. Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emilie Hojbjerg should return to the starting line-up alongside the talismanic Harry Kane, who didn't feature against Wolfsberger.
Verdict
I'm expecting West Ham to keep their run going, but a new-look defence may be unable to keep Spurs out. A narrow West Ham victory with BTTS is tipped.
