I was very happy to be invited to attend the 115 Years of the Kop: Supporters to Activists event in the Shankly Hotel where I had a stall for some books and met many great people.
It was hosted by LFC writer Jeff Goulding and guests including Joe Blott (chair of Spirit of Shankly), Ian Bryne MP (Fans Supporting Foodbanks), Emma Case (RED archive), George Scott (former LFC player), Kieran Smith (LFC writer and historian), and Paul Amann (KOP Outs).
The event discussed the evolution of Kopites from supporters to activists, becoming some of the most politically conscious football supporters in the world in the process.
It was a pleasure to share a room with some very inspiring people and I look forward to catching up with many of them again, soon.
